Sympathy cards stink.

Seriously.

In fact I hate making them so much that last week I cheated and made a "thinking of you" card instead of a real one (Sorry Patti). But I need another one this week, so I pulled out the hated supplies and settled down to make a real one.

I'm using a Doodle Pantry image and the current sketch over at The Sweetest Thing blog.

  1. Hi Joanna, you are so right girl! I HATE making sympathy cards! You want the so perfect that it can be stressful. Plus, what do you say?!?! I totally get you. This is a beautiful card! It will be perfect. The colors are beautiful but not too much - great choice! Thanks so much for using one of Laurie's sets and entering into the Doodle Pantry "any digi" challenge. Good luck and I hope you will join us again! Hopefully your days of sympathy cards are done for a while.
    Hugs, Sarah T

  3. This is stunning, Joanna. Beautiful color choices and mix of papers really makes the image pop. Also love your take on the sketch. So sorry you had the need for a sympathy card.

  4. It's beautiful Joanna. You had a lovely sketch to follow. I HATE making sympathy cards and I need to make one now. I surely don't want to do them in advance, yet it is really tough when the day comes. Kudos to you on your card and getting it done and thank you for joining us on our Ants in the Pantry Challenge #3.
