From The Heart Progressive: March

Yep, it's the VERY last day of March and here I am .... waiting til' the last second to use this fabulous From the Heart image.

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday.  It was perfect.  They wanted a "tall and skinny" card and I had JUST spilled coffee on my folded card stock!  I trimmed off the soggy portion and DONE!  I do like how it turned out.  This being my hubby's birthday, is the first of his cards (yeah, I spoil him).  Poor boy, two of his cards are pink.  What can I say, I like pink!

I'm also entering into the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant: Anything Goes
Digi Sketch Challenge theme: Furry Friends
Eureka Stamps: More Spring

SSW2 - MelJen's Designs

Meljen's Design's shop closes tomorrow.

I'm a little sad about that to be honest.  You still have roughly 24 hours to run over and grab your favorite designs. That's why I'm doubly glad that Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2  is being sponsored by Melissa and Meljen Designs

Melissa is generously offering our winner 4 free images.

This sketch is perfect whether you have it horizontal OR vertical.  I really hope you get a chance to play this week.

SSMIS-March image

I am not going to lie ...

I was not a fan of this slouchy girl when I first saw her.  I'm not sure if it was the crooked Big Ben or her poor posture that was causing me to twitch buuut, I have to say that I love how this card turned out.  I don't know if it's the colors or the lay-out but London Charlotte has schlumped her way into my heart.

I'm joining in the following challenges:
Color Throwdown: loved these colors together!
Digi Sketch Challenge: sketch

SSW2-48 DigiStamp Boutique

Happy Wednesday!

I showed this card to the hubs after I finished it.  After telling me how fabulous the card is (I've trained him to say nice things) he said, "But why does it say "chello? I don't think that this is the way to spell cello."  Well, duh.  No, it is not the way you spell the instrument.  It's HELLO with a pretty loop.  Dang it, now when I look at the card, I see his "chello." {{Sigh}}  I'm actually thinking about trimming off the stupid flourish!

In other news, it's time for the weekly challenge over at  Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2!  Our sponsor is the amazing Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique.  She's offering our winner a £10 voucher to her store.  Good stuff!

I used the set "Tweet and Flowers" to create my card. How stinkin' cute is this image?

We hope that you stop by and join in the sketch fun this week.

I'm joining in the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge.  They want to see flowers and pearls.
Pile it On challenge.  They want to see 3 of something.
DigiStamp Boutique: Monthly challenge using a DigiStamp image.
Papertake: Anything Goes

FTH Sketch 100!!

I'm late mailing this card.

Big surprise.

I don't know what it is, but I can not mail a birthday card on time to save my life.

I've had THREE coffees today (2 more than usual) so you would think that all the extra caffeine powering my braincells would make me stronger, faster and more efficient -- a virtual Super Woman without all the leaping tall buildings and stopping bullets.   Honestly, I'm not feeling it.  And my stomach is no doubt laughing it's evil laugh, plotting to make me pay for this extra coffee later tonight.  Ugh.

I'm using the sketch over at From the Heart.  They asked for CAS and the sketch.  This is about as clean and simple as I get.

I'm entering this in the QKR Stampede: stitching challenge too.  I love their goofy images!

SSW2-47: Sami Stamps

Yay, it's Wednesday and the gang is all here! Design team members Linda and Kathie are BACK!  Linda has braved the flood waters in her home and lived to tell about it, and Kathie's hands are better.  So excited to have everyone back.

This week over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 we have Sami Stamps as our sponsor.  I'm using her Read Me A Story image.  I LOVE this image.  It reminds me of when my kiddos let me read stories with them.  They are all about the chapter books now.  I'm so glad that they, like me, love to read.

I suppose, according to the sketch, I should have used two different papers this week on my card but ... I didn't wanna.  I kinda loved the monochromatic feel of this card.

There is a $12 gift certificate for our winner this week!  I hope you join in!

From The Heart 99

I don't know what it is about cold weather that sucks the life out of me but I've noticed the colder it is, the less I get done!  Good for all the cards I'm making lately, but not so good for the house, laundry and other chores that I need to get done.

Tomorrow it's supposed to get all the way up to 40.  Maybe I'll get something productive done ... maybe.

I wanted to participate in the sketch challenge over at From the Heart as well as the Color Throw-down.  I tried to work in the navy but hated the look of it, but at least I have three of the four colors incorporated.

SSW2-46: Bugaboo

Yay, it's Wednesday and we have some fun for you over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.  We have a new sketch and the return of a favorite sponsor.

It's Jodie from Bugaboo Stamps.  She's offering up 7 free digi stamps from her shop to our winner.  This week I'm using her "Ewe Mooove Me."  Not only is it cute, but the humor is sooo me!

I hope that you have time to join us.

Digi Sketch Challenge: Humor

I know that people exercise when it's cold out but ... I can't seem to make myself go to the gym.  Right now I'm telling myself that shoveling counts as exercise but the scale seems to disagree.

Perhaps I need to limit my Starbucks to once a week (I mentally counted the calories I drink each week in lattes and was a little horrified by the number)

I made this card for the Digi Sketch Challenge. I did both their sketch AND their desire to see some humor.  This is seriously me first thing in the morning.

SSSC258

Sympathy cards stink.

Seriously.

In fact I hate making them so much that last week I cheated and made a "thinking of you" card instead of a real one (Sorry Patti). But I need another one this week, so I pulled out the hated supplies and settled down to make a real one.

I'm using a Doodle Pantry image and the current sketch over at The Sweetest Thing blog.
