Sweet Sketch Wednesday 221-163: Bugaboo

This card makes me laugh and think of one person ... it's YOU Melanie, my favorite martini drinking friend.

In case you haven't already guessed, this week over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday we are once again sponsored by Jodi and the gang over at Bugaboo.  Love them and the fabulous digis available at their store.  Although Jodi always generously gives us an image to work with, I usually find 5 that I want!  I think I must be one of her BEST customers!  Stella is one of my very favorite Bugaboo friends; in fact she helps me "update" my cart far too often!  This week Jodie is offering her usual AMAZING prize of seven, yep (7!!) digis to the winner.

And speaking of favorites ... the sketch is a fan favorite too.  It's from last July.  If you haven't ever gone back through old blog posts, I highly recommend it.  It's kinda fun to see what everyone did with the sketch last time around!  To take the "time warp," click here!

Remember, in order to be eligible for this week's fabulous prize, you must comment on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog.  Good luck!

SSW220: DigiStamp Boutique

Yay, it's Wednesday!

That means it's time for another challenge from the folks over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  This week we are sponsored by Sally-Ann and the Digistamp Boutique.  I used her darling Maisey Starts School.  I was inspired because ... yep, you guessed it, we've started school over here (Yay!)  The boys are going to a new school since we moved.  The school focuses on the Arts so the kids will have classes in Art, Music and Drama.  I think my kids will like it.  The school is quite beautiful; I hafta admit that I was a bit stunned to see that they have a baby grand piano under a crystal chandelier in the lobby!!

Change is hard for everyone but my oldest is on the spectrum and so change is excruciating for him.  We've had several nights of getting up with him because he has "worries."   The best thing for him is to make a plan and then repeat the plan over and over again.  I'm sure that he will be fine at the new school but ... it's hard for me to be "up and at 'em" when I've had less than 5 hours of sleep.  :-)

This week's prize  for the winner is six (yes, SIX) free images from the Sally-Ann's shop so head on over to the Sweet Sketch blog and upload YOUR creation.   Don't forget to comment so that you can win.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Order of the Opus Gluei: The Start of Something Big (school)
One Stitch at a Time: School
Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog: Girls, Girls, Girls
Creative Inspiration Paint: Back to School

SSW 219: Deidre Mosher

Happy Wednesday (3 more days until school starts, NOT that I am counting)  I have LOVED having the boys home but now, I'm looking forward to spending some quality crafting time with ME!!

I am so glad that you could come join us for another sketch challenge over at  Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  This week Sally has given us another fantastic sketch to work with; it's lots and lots of layers!!

Our sponsor is the " wildly whimsical and seriously sassy" artist herself, Deidre Mosher.   Here's a bit more about Deidre:

"I have been in the business of art for over 25+ years. Starting out as a fashion illustrator, moving into Art Direction, where I did everything from print to TV...and eventually I found my way back to illustration. My art is just plain fun and my love of color is clearly evident in the designs I create. I'm currently licensed with a variety of companies...my designs are used on craft products, greeting cards/paper products, kitchenware, business products and such.

I am first and foremost an...Illustrator and Designer. I am inspired by seriously sassy & bold colors, but also love the 'wow factor' of classic black and white designs. I'm crazy for stripes and dots, and they are a repeated theme in my work.

I'm happiest when I am in my studio and starting a new project...making a mess, experimenting...and even throwing paint.  Any day in the studio is a great day!  I usually get an idea when I least expect it...so when the 'light bulb' goes off...I sketch and sketch and sketch...(hence the reason I buy tracing paper in bulk). I always begin with a pencil and paper, and it evolves from there. My favorite part of the process?? EVERYTHING...from beginning to end."

SO ... show us what you've got!  Post YOUR card  and you could win this week's prize of $10 to be spent in the Deidre Mosher Design store.

TMS 210

I have been ... under the weather for the last few days and have been letting the boys take care of me.  Yesterday, I was snoozing on the couch, "watching" Project Runway when the youngest flicked off the TV and thrust a cup of tea into my hands.  "You are not even watching that TV, so I'm turning it off!"   Was he channeling a mom or what?!!  He was right ... I was sleeping right through the drama and it's the best part!!

Today I woke up and was happy to feel more like myself.  Hafta say I felt a bit sicker when I took a look at the house (specifically the kitchen).  Man that sucker gets dirty fast when the boys are left to their own devices!

Since I felt a bit better, I decided to attempt both the Tuesday Morning Sketch and the Twisted Tuesday Challenge.  I am sooo not a CAS stamper so it really was ... a challenge.

challenges:
TMS: sketch
Twisted Tuesday: Christmas and CAS

SSW218-Stamp Fairy

 Hey All!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another sketch challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

This week we are sponsored by Gerda Burghardt.  Stamp Fairy was officially launched on November 5th 2010. Gerda, the artist and owner, creates cute and whimsical digital images for the young and old, inspired by her life, love and 4 cute cats.   Please visit the store and browse StampFairy’s wonderful images. We hope StampFairy’s images inspire YOUR creativity."

It's August so that means it's time to break out the Halloween stamps and get ready for one of my favorite holidays in the Fall season!

This week, after perusing Gerda's extensive Halloween file, I decided to use Tommy Wizard.   Isn't he a cutie?  Our prize for the winning entry is a $10 Gift Certificate in the Stamp Fairy store.  Don't forget to comment on the blog so that YOU are eligible for our fabulous prize!
